The Kashmir left in grief & gloom by all deplores: Farooq Rehmani

Islamabad, March 04, 2023: "The entire IIOJ&K, has been forgotten and left lurching in grief & gloom by all, especially after an on slaught on its historical, geographical and cultural identity by a racist government of Delhi to pursue its obscurantist narrative and religious conspiracy against the majority Kashmiri Muslims, complaints Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman J&K People's Freedom League and ex-Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference on the latest revengeful political and economic regime of India in the disputed and rights- denied fragmented State of Jammu and Kashmir. He protested against denial of basic human rights, property rights, economic rights, employment rights and rights to live in their homes, own property, safeguard their inherited property and cultivate their own lands and orchards without any foreign or other illegal interference. But, their age old country law and inheritance law is being trespassed and violated by Indian authorities in the region, he alleged. Brutalities are perpetuated on all those whether owners of land or media men who claim their rights, advocate by press and try to protest against such oppressive measures by the regime agencies. He expressed surprise over the long silence of the United Nations, that had taken responsibility of the disputed territory under its provisions and in line with its unanimous resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir. He equally regretted apathetic trend of some major democracies and the Muslim countries who were duty-bound under the guide lines of Quran and Sunnat to take necessary steps to protect the lives and the properties of the subjugated and victimized Muslims in the world. He warned that the world body and other such institutions would lose their importance and unexpected war-flames could engulf the countries fighting for their hegemony.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani condemned enforced disappearance of a Kashmiri youth in Kunan-Poshpora, Abdul Rashid Dar whose mutilated dead body was recovered from the Zurhama forests after about 3 months of his arrest by the army. He said termination of services of employers on fabricated grounds from their offices, demolishing of houses in the name of so- called encroachment policy and seizure and attachment of houses or shops of legal owners by the Indian government in the Occupied State and arresting and detaining and moreover denying the Kashmiri inmates their right to be free from jails even after decades. He said that the magnitude of brutalities, and use of other inhuman laws on the Kashmiris in the Valley and Jammu speaks a lot and must be addressed by the UN at the earliest. In case of failure to take action by the UN, he feared that the entire population of Kashmiri Muslims was in perpetual threat. On the issue of Kashmiri Pundits, he said a peaceful coexistence and religious and cultural toleration between communities was a firm tradition of the past and the same could no less guarantee their mutual future. But both communities should work for harmonious relations inside Kashmir and never be swayed by mischievous propaganda and raise voice against acts of terror on each other.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani urged on the civil society of Pakistan especially legal fraternity and the Human Rights activists to take note of the malicious intentions of the BJP regime about the Kashmiri Muslim inmates presently in different jails of India, were not allowed to see the light of the day and their parents may long for them as free citizens of their country. The racist regime, he said, has the plan to change the demography of Kashmir in its favor within next few years. Therefore, under the developing situation in Kashmir and Delhi corridors of power, there is no room left for any complacency, Delhi must be emphasized to repeal all inhuman laws including the 5 August proclamation of 2019 from the Occupied region of Jammu and Kashmir. #End
